Accessing
this web site is a request for information, but the
request does not constitute legal advice or establish
an attorney/client relationship. The following notice
is required by rule of the Supreme Court of Iowa:
The determination of the need for legal services and
the choice of a lawyer are extremely important decisions
and should not be based solely upon advertisements
or self-proclaimed expertise. A description or indication
of limitation of practice does not mean that any agency
or board has certified such lawyer as a specialist
or expert in an indicated field of law practice, nor
does it mean that such lawyer is necessarily any more
expert or competent than any other lawyer. All potential
clients are urged to make their own independent investigation
and evaluation of any lawyer being considered. Memberships
and offices in legal fraternities and legal societies,
technical and professional licenses, and memberships
in scientific, technical and professional associations
and societies of law or field of practice do not mean
that a lawyer is a specialist or expert in a field
of law, nor do they mean that such lawyer is necessarily
any more competent than any other lawyer. All potential
clients are urged to make their own independent investigation
and evaluation of any lawyer being considered.

Note
from Ed:
On
April 1, 2002 I decided that working for a firm simply
wasn’t for me, and with the support of my wife, Pam
I decided to venture out on my own. I set up shop
at the Court Avenue Business Suites, in the Saddlery
Building which is in the heart of Court Avenue District.
My office is within walking distance of the Polk County
Courthouse. I currently practice in Polk, Madison,
Marion, Guthrie and Warren Counties. It is important
to note that the Supreme Court of Iowa prohibits me
from stating that I specialize in a specific area
of the law, as I have yet to be out of law school
long enough to establish a practice area. However,
I am happy to review any cases you might have, and
discuss any legal problems you are facing. If I don’t
believe I can help you, or that you would be better
off with a more experienced attorney I will tell you.
As
I surfed the net looking for other Iowa Attorney’s
sites I started to see a common theme, firms are proud
of the big corporations that they represent and if
by chance they are from out of state, that seems to
be more important. I guess I just see things different
then that. I went to law school to help people, and
that is who my clients are, everyday people, with
everyday problems.
Allow
me the opportunity to earn business. Evening and Weekend
appointments are available. There is never a charge
for your initial appointment, and on personal injury
cases, my fee is determined on the award you receive.
